Extracurricular Life

At Hillcrest International School, we aim to maximise opportunities for children beyond the classroom. We believe that enhancing childhood experiences helps develop well-rounded individuals with skills for the future.

Our extensive extracurricular programme encourages curiosity and nurtures diverse talents and skills. There are about 30 activities to choose from. These activities provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom, which is considered part of a well-rounded education.

Sport

Our school offers Hockey, Basketball, Rugby, Football, Tennis, Squash, Horse riding, Swimming, Netball, Rounders, Fencing, Taekwondo, Golf, and Athletics. Interhouse competitions create camaraderie in sporting activities and other contests. We cater to all students’ abilities, encouraging them to meet and exceed their potential.

Creative Arts

Theatre shows, exhibitions, and international tours provide students with opportunities to perform on stage or contribute behind the scenes in technical and production roles. Through these experiences, pupils can develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and practical skills, while gaining valuable exposure to diverse audiences and cultural settings.

In Prep, students can participate in Scouts, Dance and Movement, Gymnastics, LAMDA and Ballet.

Our Community

We are privileged to live in a community rich in cultural diversity. Our family-style approach and inclusion philosophy ensure every child feels a sense of belonging. We aim to develop cooperation, citizenship, sportsmanship, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Student Leadership

The Model United Nations (MUN) offers opportunities to students to practise their debating and presentation skills. Through the President’s Award scheme, students focus on their educational interests and enhance their abilities by undertaking challenging projects.

Community Service

All our Sixth Form students are expected to participate in the Community Service programme, which involves leadership training and enables the students to appreciate the value of giving back to society and helping the less fortunate in our community, as well as participating in various noble causes such as environmental conservation.
